SPEECHES
This was our first official year of writing and delivering our own speeches. First, we had to choose a topic that we were interested in and research it. We chose all sorts of topics - dogs, soccer players, space, wrestlers, saving our planet from plastic, lizards, rugby league players, Minecraft, Roblox, arcade games, zoos (and why we shouldn't have them), soccer and many more.
We learnt to write a good introduction to "hook" in our audience, give 3 to 4 facts backed up with evidence and to leave the audience with a question or something to think about at the end. The class practiced for days and finally every single one of us presented our speech to the class. It was pretty scary but what a feeling when we had done it! Mrs Dobbie was so proud of all our hard work!
The class voted Darcy (WWE Wrestlers), Buster (Warrior's players) and Simran (Space) as our class representatives to go forward to the school finals.
