The Challenge is on. ...Secret Words.

Our class loves and I mean loves a good word. Our aim is to become walking dictionaries.

It all started off with Mrs Dobbie choosing a secret word for the day.  Once chosen we would discuss it's spelling and meaning. After that,  the word became a  "secret" word. This meant the next time Mrs Dobbie mentioned it, we had to put up our hand to claim hearing it first and thus earn valuable points for our group. A great way to practice our listening skills!

Anyway the game has now evolved into us finding secret words to choose from. Each day several of us have been finding out interesting words  at home and bringing them to school.

After discussing the meaning of these special words, Mrs Dobbie let's us sometimes choose what the secret word will be.
