LEST WE FORGET - COMMEMORATING ANZAC DAY

In the last week of term 1, we learnt about why we commemorate ANZAC Day. We learnt that the poppy initially became the symbol for remembering the soldiers who fought for our freedom during the First World War. Today it also reminds us of all our soldiers who have fought in the many wars we have had in the past and for our current soldiers who are on active duty today.

Here we are creating our collaborative poppy art work and the fantastic end result!
