Did you know the even equations in maths have their own families?

We discovered that multiplication and division are related, for example 3x4=12 4x3=12 12÷3=4 and 12÷4=3. 

They are called families of facts and we discovered them using arrays of counters.

We began to see that in the division equations that the biggest number had to go first because it was the number that needed to be shared equally.
