ROAD SAFETY WEEK

This week we learnt about how important it is to be safe around roads. We practised what we need to do when we cross a road.

The important things to remember are:

"STOP, LOOK, LISTEN,THINK" BEFORE YOU USE YOUR FEET!
ALWAYS ALWAYS DO THESE THINGS BEFORE YOU CROSS A STREET!

We also looked at the three major problems which face our school in particular and made posters to make parents and adults more aware of our safety when picking us up and dropping us off in cars.

They are:
1. Don't park on yellow lines
2. Slow down around schools
3. Drop children off away from the school gates.

Here is what we did!

We had a school wide competition for the best posters and had to submit our best ones to Mr Henderson for judging. Here are our finished posters numbered and ready for us to vote on for the best 3!

Here we are voting for our 3 best posters.

...and the winners were:

FIRST: MIA

SECOND: LUCAS

THIRD: HAIFEI

Mrs Dobbie liked this one by PENNY
