Matariki - Happy Maori New Year!

Matariki is the celebration by the Maori people of the New Year. It is a time to think about loved ones who have passed away, a time to spend time with family and share good food and to listen to stories about the seven sisters.

Matariki is when you set goals for the coming year. In our cards we had to write an acrostic poem about Matariki, share some facts about Matariki and set out our goals for the year.
