Our writing!

We are learning to plan our writing before we write. Once we have planned we write our awesome stories.
Then it is time to revise our stories. "Revise" means to look at our stories with "new eyes" and to see if we can make our stories better by "adding, removing, changing or moving something" in our writing.
The last step is to edit our work. Does it make sense? Does it have capital letters and full stops?
When we are finished revising and editing we read our work to a buddy and write a comment about why we like their story. Sometimes we add what we think would make their writing better.
If Mr Bermingham is really lucky he gets to hear our stories!
Here are some of them.

In our plan we brainstorm ideas and words that we may use in our draft writing.

When we have finished our first draft we revise our work. See how Michael has revised and improved his writing by adding a simile " friendly as a kitten".

Look at the "wow" words (adjectives) I am going to use!

See how we edit and revise our writing. One of our criteria which we agreed upon at the beginning of this piece of writing was "capital letters and full stops". See how I have checked I have met the criteria?
