Solid liquid or gas?

Did you know there are 3 states of matter? Everything is generally a solid,  liquid or gas.
In a solid the molecules are packed tightly together and it is difficult for them to move. This means the solid keeps it's shape. Mrs Dobbie said it is like us sitting together on the mat.
In a liquid, the molecules are not  packed together very closely at all. They can move past one another freely.  This would be like us playing Octopus on the netball court.
In  gases, the molecules are very far apart and so a gas can not be contained easily. This is like all of us playing all over the school.
Here we are classifying some things into solids, liquids  and gases.
