Making a Worm Farm

Mrs Ghosh taught is how to make a Worm Farm for science.  We had learnt from a journal article that worm wee is very good for plants. It makes them grow really well.

The seedlings we planted early this term are looking a little sad so let's hope the worm wee revitalises them.

To make a Worm Farm we needed a plastic juice bottle, soil, worms, newspaper and a lot of collaborating and cooperation between our group members.

It was quite challenging but we ended up successfully working together and completing 4 worm farms.

Halima became quite the expert at getting the worms into the bottles of soil!

Now we have to remember to feed our worms with our food scraps each day. We started them all off today with banana peels!

Stay tuned to see if any worm wee is produced and whether it helps our seedlings grow!
