Another cool science experiment!

The other day we made hokey pokey to show us what happens when we mix certain ingredients together. We discovered that when you melt sugar and golden syrup over heat and then add baking soda that a chemical reaction happens! The chemical reaction creates chemical energy! The mixture goes all frothy and bubbly!
It was great eating it afterwards too!

    Did you like it? Mrs. Dobbie, you create the best science experiments ever! I still remember the one we did when I was in your class! Remember the egg experiment? You thought the egg was able to bounce and when you bounced it, it broke! You had to clean it up!
    I want to be a chemical engineer when I grow up! something similiar to what you guys are doing.

      Yes Israr I remember the egg experiment. That was so funny when it broke on the carpet. It WAS meant to bounce! Good on you. A chemical engineer sounds like a cool job. Come back and visit my class when you are qualified and maybe do an experiment with them!
